I want to design a circuit where I control the output level of an opamp with a potentiometer. I successfully did this earlier in my blog of 15-1-2023.

I left out the 100 ohm resistor because I do not know its purpose. The 100k resistor connectected to the opamp makes sure there is never a full Vs+/- on the non-onverting input even if the potmeter is turned all the way to one side.

Worked great! My AWG connected to IN set to 100 mVpp sinewave amplified the signal ten times or so and the potmeter could be used to tune the level.
