Ik want to create a small device that buzzes every 10 minutes when turned on, to keep track of time when I am gaming.
Requirements:
- On/off switch with power LED.
- USB powered.
- No need for an exact 10 minutes, as long as the time period is somewhat constant.
- Buzzer goes off for about 1 second.
- Less IC's is better.
- Buzzer frequency 440 Hz and loud enough to hear when gaming.
Parts and subparts:
- The thing that determines the 10 minute period.
- Could be a 555, probably easiest
- Could be a transistor-oscillator, but it would stay in active too long and switch the transistor slowly. An additional (schmitt) trigger part would be
- The thing that determines the 1 second buzzer-on period.
- The thing that plays the buzzer.
- The oscillator.
- The amplifier.
